Visitability refers to how easy or difficult it is for people of any age and ability to visit your home.

Improving the visitability of a home benefits the home owners, their family, their friends, and the value of the home.

Does your home currently have the top three visitability features?

The home should have at least one entrance with no steps or stairs, allowing all visitors to easily enter the home regardless of their mobility needs.

#2: Hallway and Doorway Width

Doorways should be at least 32 inches wide, and hallways should be at least 36 inches wide. This is important for people using mobility devices, such as wheelchairs and walkers.
